Iâm Dr. Megan Melo.
Iâm a family and obesity medicine physician, an expert in metabolic and menopause health, and a coach for women physicians trying to stop gaslighting themselves into burnout in a broken healthcare system.
For years, I thought if I just worked harder, charted faster, set better reminders, or cared moreâI could finally âcatch up.â
I couldnât.
Like many of my clients, I was overwhelmed, people-pleasing, disconnected from my own needs. On the outside, I looked âfine.â Inside, I was unraveling quietly (ok, sometimes NOT so quietly...), and resenting the job I once loved.
What changed? I stopped believing the systemâs story. I started writing my own.
Now, I help other women physicians reclaim what matters most: their peace, their bodies, their time, and their own inner voice. My work blends real medicine, real rest, and radical self-permission.
đ Meet with me â no pitch, just permission.
Let's talk about you and what you need for a change....
Â
đŹ What I DoÂ
đĄ This is not therapy. This is not generic coaching. This is coaching by someone whoâs in the trenches.
Whether youâre navigating clinical chaos, perimenopause symptoms, professional burnout, or the aftermath of a toxic systemâour work will center around this truth:
You are not broken.
You are carrying too much, with too little care.
Letâs change that.

-
Looking like she's got herđ©together âbut secretly burned out
-
Used to being the reliable one, the good girl, the overachieverâeven when it costs you
-
Fielding 20 inbox messages after your clinic day ends
-
Carrying the emotional weight of frustrated patients, demanding administrators, and your own guilt
-
Resentful of how your job feels nowâbut afraid to admit it out loud
-
Starting to notice your body changing (weight, sleep, cycles, anxiety), and wondering if youâre falling apart
-
Looking for clarity about whether itâs the system, the season, or you
-
Unsure if you need therapy, coaching, or just a damn break
Youâre not aloneâand youâre not broken.
What youâre experiencing isnât a personal failure. Itâs the predictable outcome of being trained to overfunction, overgive, and override your own needs inside a system that rewards martyrdom.
This coaching isnât about fixing youâitâs about freeing you.
Â
đ What Changes (That You Can Actually Feel):
Before Coaching:
-
You wake up already behind.
-
Your to-do list spills into evenings and weekendsâand your brain never turns off.
-
Youâre helping everyone but yourself, and certainly no one is helping you.
-
You know the EMR isnât the only thing draining youâbut donât know where to start.
-
You're not even sure what your needs are anymore.
After Coaching:
-
You pause before saying yes; and mean it when you say no.
-
You feel more grounded, even when the chaos doesnât stop.
-
You start protecting your energy like you protect your patients.
-
You learn how to take care of yourself without apologizing or overexplaining.
-
You recognize the systemâs gaslighting for what it isâand stop internalizing it.
-
You realize youâre not alone. Youâre part of a quiet revolution of women physicians taking their lives back.
This is not about leaving medicine.
Itâs about leaving behind the version of you who thought self-sacrifice was the only way to be a good physician (and human).
Letâs build something steadier. Something saner. Something that feels like you.
