Wow, this round of The Practice is CLOSED!

If you are still looking for support, please email me at [email protected], or set up a free call at https://calendly.com/healthierforgood/coaching-discovery-call

You deserve to feel better. And I can help.

You don’t need to be more resilient.
You need space to be human inside a system that isn’t.

A small, women physician-only group focused on connection, clarity, and better outcomes for your life;
without pretending the problem is you.

I'm READY

This is for you if…

  • You’re great at what you do—and tired in ways rest doesn’t touch

  • You carry responsibility for patients, systems, teams, and families

  • You second-guess your needs because “others have it worse”

  • You feel the moral weight of practicing medicine (or just being human) right now

  • You want support that respects your intelligence and understands your experience as a woman physician

You don’t need another framework to optimize yourself.
You need room to think, feel, and choose differently.

What makes this different

This is not:

  • productivity coaching

  • mindset work that ignores reality

  • “just be grateful” messaging

  • fixing or optimizing you

This is:

  • community without comparison

  • honest conversation about moral injury and capacity

  • a safe working space to identify priorities and obstacles

  • support for creating days at home and at work that actually feel better

  • your training ground for self-compassion and self-kindness muscles
I NEED this

How it works

EACH MONTH includes:

  • 2 themed group calls, Sundays, 4:00–5:30 PM PST / 7:00–8:30 PM EST

    - Feb 15 & Feb 22 (intro BONUS!)
    - Mar 8 & Mar 22
    - Apr 5 & Apr 26
    - May 10 & May 31
  • 1 office hours session (open coaching)

  • 1 private 1:1 session

  • WhatsApp group for support between sessions

The group evolves because you evolve.
There’s structure, but no rigid curriculum.

About the container

This group is intentionally small.
It's not for everyone—and that’s by design.

If you’ve found your way here and feel a quiet “yes,”
you don’t need to talk yourself into it."

About Your Guide

I’m Megan Melo—a practicing Family and Obesity Medicine physician.

I’ve been practicing medicine for nearly 20 years, and from the very beginning, I was “the nice one.”
The reliable one.
The one who said yes, took on more, and still felt like it was never quite enough.

I was overworked, over-paneled, and quietly carrying the sense that I was failing—despite doing everything I had been taught to do. I assumed I was the problem. That I just hadn’t figured it out yet. That if I worked harder, cared more, or sacrificed better, it would finally click.

Sound familiar?

Since 2014, I’ve been immersed in physician wellness work. I’ve watched it take many forms—some well-intentioned, many ineffective. What I’ve learned the hard way is that resilience training, efficiency tips, and mindset work don’t help much when you’re practicing inside a system that asks for more and more while offering less and less humanity in return.

And yet—I don’t believe this is hopeless.

What does help is unlearning the “good girl” rules we were trained to live by. Learning how to listen to ourselves again. And slowly, deliberately building lives in medicine that are meaningful, enjoyable, and sustainable—even inside a system that wasn’t designed with us in mind.

That’s the work I do now with women physicians like you.
And it’s the work that shaped The Practice—the space I wish had existed earlier in my own career.

The world needs us.
But we don’t need to disappear in the process.

When we know better, we do better.
